Just a little update and Vicki will again go into more detail in her letter. He is having a AWSOME day today!! He is up walking, went to the bathroom!! His fever is down still has a slight one but down a lot. He sees the Oral Surgeon today along with tons of other Doctors that he sees daily!!
I do have a few Prayer requests and I know Vicki is probably going to get mad at me for posting this but I think it is worth the risk!! Can you please add Vicki's foot to the prayer requests. She is seeing a Doctor today but her swelling is hurting her and I just thought because you all are so great at prayers I would risk her getting mad at me for some of your awesome work. She is doing ok so I don't want to alarm anyone it is not bad she is just recovering from her surgery she had a couple months ago. Just not used to being up this much.
For Tim's prayer requests that swelling keeps going down. The Appointment with the Oral Surgeon goes well. That his fever continues to go down, That his progress continues in the same direction and speed that he is doing now if not better. That he is able to get some liquids down him soon. And of course that the pain is manageable.
Thanks
Debbie
Tim,
ReplyDeleteI think you're the only person I know who can muster a bit of a smile with wounds looking as bad as yours. Thank God your life has been spared in such a horrible incident. To keep things on the lighter side, I graciously hired some local D.C., out of work, actors to pose as secret service and the President of the US. They should have been by your room by now. Hope you enjoy that, and don't fall for it.
Seriously, What an honor!!! I mean, what an honor for the President of the United States to get to meet YOU!!!

ReplyDeleteVicki and Rick have done an awesome job, what a man you have raised.
I look forward to reading the update later today.
Yea Tim you sure look "cute" in your blues. ;) Nothin' like a cute Marine. So I hear you put the President on your list of people you'd like to have come visit? That was nice of you because I'm sure he was probably home sweatin it out waiting for an invitation. Even he knows Tim, that you are not only an amazing and worthy Marine, but such a wonderful human being. I'm so glad that God decided to leave you here with us, we really need you. I don't know what we'd do without a "cute" Marine. =D

Take care of youself, and I hope to see you soon. God bless!

Hey Tim,
ReplyDeleteSeems like it was just yesterday that I was wrestling with you in the middle of your parents dining room. I remember making a comment to your dad that you were a fighter and never gave up. I'm glad that hasn't changed any. Just want you to know Tim that we think about you every day and are glad that you're getting better each and every day. Before to long, you'll be in the comfort of your own home. I've heard they're taking great care of you there and if they don't, let me know and I'll send Obama back there again to straighten them out. Get well soon buddy, Can't wait to see you when you get home.

Vicki - here is the song:
As The Deer
As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after Thee
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship Thee
(Chorus)
You alone are my strength, my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship Thee
You're my friend and You are my brother
Even though You are a king
I love You more than any other
So much more than anything
Tim you are an extremely wonderful Marine. Good luck with recovery and I am sure that will go well. Your parents are amazing, your mom has been so strong but there is going to come a time when she just breaks down and I hope you realize how wonderful she is and how much she loves you. Your Dad WOW, just gotta give your family props they have stayed so strong and courageous during this whole situation, wow I wonder where you get that from.
ReplyDeleteHi Tim! Brian and I are thinking about you everyday and are so thankful to read your daily progress through this blog. Sounds like you'll be back on your feet in no time - and what an honor to meet the President! Thank you again for your service. We hope you know you are returning to a grateful nation.
ReplyDeleteP.S. We're also very proud of Kate and wishing her well at graduation. Thanks to HER for bringing you into our lives!
Love,
Christen & Brian
