Dear Tim,
ReplyDeleteI am a friend and high school classmate of your grandma Gen and live in Spirit Lake, IA. I am so sorry for the ordeal that you are going through. I am also very proud of you for serving our country and hope that things go well for you.
I am very familiar with military life but nothing like you have been through. My ex-husband was in the U.S. Army as well as one son who served four years and another that served over 20. Every time I hear the National Anthem I get goose bumps!! I have been to Landstuhl. Quite a place. I have also been to Bethesda Naval Hospital. Wonderful people there! I also worked for the U.S. Army at Fort Belvoir, VA, but now retired.
My prayers go out to you and your family.

H i, Tim! We are friends of your Gramma Gen! We're sorry to hear about your accident. But we're grateful for all the new things in medicine! Our granddaughter, a first year student in college, received her 2nd kidney transplant on Monday, (5/25), in Rochester, Minn. (She has polycystic kidney disease and had one transplant when she was 11 (her dad was the donor). She's fine---and staying at the Transplant House near Mayo for two weeks---so she can be checked for rejection each day. She's 'bouncy & chirpy', and says she is "going back to work by July 4th"!
ReplyDeleteAll you young people have wonderful resilience!
We'll pray for you too, when we pray for Talia.
Our very best to you! SEMPER FIDELIS---or whatever. GOD BLESS THE U.S. MARINES!
We have a nephew stationed in California---has been a MARINE 20 plus years!
HUGS & PRAYERS! Margo & Ron Brockmeyer

Hello Grandma and Mom
ReplyDeleteThis is to let you all know that I did get the e-mail with the web site for Tim's blog. I read it and was so thankful to see that to date all things are looking favorable for his full recovery. I didn't attach a comment to the blog site because I didn't notice a precise spot telling me to "send comments here" and being the total computer illiterate, I didn't take any chances of screwing anything up.
However, I want you all to know that I and Uncle Perry are offering prayers for Tim. We can be satisfied with taking one day at a time and pray that each day is better than the one before.
Vicki, if you should have contact with the families of the others involved in these "accidents" please let them know that our prayers are extended to their sons also.
God Bless, Aunt Pete
Tim,

Love Mike,Amy, Kristin and Michael AKA Bubba
