Letters and Comments
We have posted a couple of letters that were sent to Tim's family on how he is doing and the others involved in this accident, from the Marines. I also wanted to encourage all of you to please leave your feeling and thoughts through any post comments. I think Tim will appreciate reading these while he is getting better, I am also working on making him a book ( which will be completed after he recovers) It will include all the comments, memories, and posts on the blog. So please feel free to post your thoughts whether they are funny, meaningful, memorable, about old times, new times, or anything that comes to mind!! I know he will appreciate reading them in his recovery.

ReplyDeleteAs you well know, we're all praying for you, sticking together like flies on, well, mmmmmm, fly paper, and the truth is, that even through one of your worst times you have continued to bring out the best in all of us. Once again we are all living, breathing proof that with God on our side there is NOTHING that cannot be done, no miracle that cannot be performed. I have personally been on my knees a lot lately thanking Him for your service, your dedication, your smile, your family, and most recently, your sacrifice. And now, since your mom and dad wont be home for me to hug and talk to, I'm just going to have to hug your blogspot daily until you all return home safely. Lots of love and prayers from me to you kiddo, OH, uh, I mean MARINE!!!!!!

Tim.......you dont know me..I am Charles Isom's mom. Charles and your dad were in the Marines together. We live in North Carolina now. I came here as a traveling nurse in 1990 and stayed. I just wanted you to know you are in my prayers, as are your parents.
ReplyDeleteThere is something to be said for being a bird. Parents kick their babies out of the nest as soon as they can fly and its bye bye birdie.....but us humans....oh boy. The relationship we have with our babies never changes..and when you hurt....oh boy....how they hurt. I know you will work hard and do whatever it takes to regain your health...and thank God for the USMC's help. Mary Isom
Tim and family,
ReplyDeleteI met Tim when we got to the fleet and unfortunately did not get to know him too well. I have heard great things about him and his family from Tovar and Williams. I live in Modesto and promised Tim i would take him to go get some sushi, I intend to keep my promise. My prayers and thoughts and the prayers and thoughts of my family are with you. Get well soon Tim so we can get back to bashing on Tovar.

Tim,
ReplyDeleteI said a prayer for you today
And know that God must have heard-
I felt the answer in my heart
Although He spoke no word!
I didn't ask for wealth or fame
(I knew you wouldn't mind)
I asked Him to send treasures
Of a far more lasting kind!
I asked that He'd be near you
At the start of each new day
To grant you health and blessings
And friends to share your way!
I asked for happiness for you
In all things great and small-
But it was for His loving care
I prayed for most of all!

Thank you so much for all you have done for our country..you, your family, and Kate are all in my prayers. Come home safe and soon :)

Tim,
ReplyDeleteI just spoke with your mom and I am totaly amazed by your bravery and postive outlook. You have such a strong and supportive family. I am so happy you get to be with them in your own home to complete your recovery. I don't really have words to describe how thankful we are that you are going to be ok and how thankful we are for the service you do for our country and for the rolemodeling you provide for a son like mine.
.....WELCOME HOME!
